Polinator Project with Hilltop Elementary and Ney Center

In this Rotary Club of Le Sueur project in conjunction with the Ney Center, Hilltop Elementary School 4th and 5th Grade students learn about the importance of pollinators -- from bees to bats -- and create pollinator habitat.


Our Rotary club has adopted American Legion Park in Le Sueur. We are pleased to serve our great community in this way.

Rotary Exchange Students

The Rotary Club of Le Sueur has longstanding tradition of hosting and sending Rotary Exchange Students. These high-school age students are hosted by Rotarians and Rotary Clubs for a school year.

Community Service

Contributed to the many Le Sueur area projects and organizations, such as, Summer Safety Camp. Youth Opportunities and the Le Sueur Food Shelf.

Children’s Books Donated to the Le Sueur Library

Provided books for the Children’s Summer Reading Program in 2010 and 2011.

Group Study Exchange

From April 6 to 9, as a part of a cultural and vocational exchange involving our Rotary District (5960) and Rotary District 2400 in Sweden, we were privileged to host Team Leader Rotarian Vibeke Hylten-Cavallis and non-Rotarian members, Karin Malm, Ola Jonsson, Therese Brusbo, and Dan Martinsen, During their time here, they were hosted in the homes of Le Sueur Rotarians and joined our club for the regular Tuesday noon meeting.. Among varied activities while here, they learned about Emergency Preparedness and Response in Le Sueur, and toured Gustavus Adolphus College, the Chankaska Creek Winery, Cambia, and the Le Sueur Museum.

Backpack Program

Each week we will pack approximately 100 bags of food to be distributed to local children in need of additional nutritional support during out of school days. This program is sponsored by the Le Sueur Rotary Club along with donations from local business and community members. In December 2017, Le Sueur Rotarians also packed 59 "Christmas Bags" with 25 pounds of food in each bag for families in the Le Sueur area..
