Rotary’s priority project is to eradicate Polio worldwide. Great progress has been made; from over 350,000 cases every year in the late 80’s to 30 with the wild polio virus in 2022 and only 8 in 2023 as of November 7. But we aren’t there yet — not until there are no cases worldwide. The Rotary Club of Le Sueur, with community support via our fundraisers, has been a leader in Rotary District 5960 (parts of MN and WI) in donating to the End Polio Now campaign. Because of this giving, this crippling disease can be and is being prevented.
